<div class="IPBDescription">and the A-holes that play it.</div> A couple of my friends play Brood War online, so I installed it again to play with them. My records only 8/3. But, it should be 11/0. 3 games I played, in one day, I got backstabbed. ***king a-holes. Such a fun game ruined by people who feel the need to assert their inferiority complex.

btw, if you wanna play a friendly comp stomp (I just re-installed, still re-learning tactics so all I do is comp stomp) my names are DarkTerra, DarkKaji and SmokeNova

who cares about your record... the only record that counts is a lader.. which is all or should be 1v1.. unless your playing with a friend you practice with.

Normal records are like post counts. They only give people "thoughts".

In my case, because I mostly play "Use map settings" maps, I don't care about the record.

Yes... I am a StarCraft addict...

I Had been playing for about a year and a half with my clan and completely owned. I was doing nicely, playing everything fr om mods to competition. My computer crashed one day and we decided to upgrade to windows 2000, and NOTHING WORKED!! I hate windows, bill gates should come up with something that's compatable with everything, with no problems (like that's ever going to happen). Anyway, I still can't play.

I hate you windows!!

How's this for irony.. My broodwars CD works for both Mac&Pc... but my starcraft one doesn't. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'> gg Blizzard.

Only thing that blizzards games(wc3 and sc) are good for are custom games.

Obviously you've never played the singleplayer game or you wouldn't be saying that, the regular maps are much better than any custom map you care to name, mainly because they all have names like, THE FSTEST M4P EVAR!!11111111, or BGH++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++2002 SE platinum.

I've gone through and beaten SC two times. Not too hard but fun...'specially liked the Dragoon vs human settlement video

And my main rant is just being Backstabbed 3 times in less then 6 hours.

I'm slowly working through single player seeing as I just bought it not too long ago.. I'm somewhere on the protoss campaign of normal SC... lol I loved the last Zerg mission.... at the end I rushed the temple with around 100 hydras. I also had cracklings and guardians.

Man, I gotta tell ya, I used to do that. It was like "Here, let me help you by putting hundreds of bunkers in your base". Then lots of killing.

i love starcraft, altho i can't say much about my record. i haven't played in so long... but now school's out so i may have some time to whip out the good games again.

and btw, the intro movie to broodwar is the best movie, ever.... period.

Your record=numbers.. and numbers=crap

I have plenty of losses in starcraft and warcraft.. mainly with friends, but it's because we love to do something other than the original crap.. like rush with your original probes once you hit 400, attempt to build a nexus and outmine his base (bwahaha you'll never see it coming... or will you?) Or maybe eating trees into the back of your enemy's base and hopefully pound some workers <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

Besides.. all the newbies on starcraft is predictable.. they'll probably go Zerg and mass hydra's, or Protoss and turtle in while getting the resources for mass carriers. And Terran.. heh.. I've rarely seen a newbie pick Terran. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> So if you see them pick Terran.. chances are they know what they're doing.

Ah.. but I've gone offtopic in the off topic forum.. really man.. it's just numbers. If you don't want backstabbers, either watch your own back really well, or take the easy way and don't play without a friend as an allie.

I think he's talking about the godly UMS maps like Zone Control, a few RPGish maps, and Changeling.

While Zergling blood and co. are pretty cool, its nothing compared to a proper game using the original maps.

So let me get this... you comp stomp and pull up your record. Now why would you be getting backstabbed? Oh yea i remember.... 50% of battlenet will jump in your game just to backstab you if you comp stomp.
A. Compstomping is unfair.... its only used to pull up your record and its not a true reflection of your skills (but who cares about a normal record anyway? If you wanna be known for a good record go play ladder)
B. Uh there is no B <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>
But if you were getting backstabbed in normal maps then thats just something you have to deal with. Why not play 1v1 all the time? It makes you 20x better and the only time i ever play 2v2 or 3v3 is when i am with my friends

probably not.

I'm just PO'ed because it was 3 times in 6 hours. and it was 3 games in a row.
