<div class="IPBDescription">did a quick search, WANNA SEE DEMO'S FFS</div> Lo...

So, well, I am not gonna play demo's inside HL, I'm way to dumb for that stuff and I am way too lazy as well,
so I downloaded Geekplay through teh link from the US vs EU thread Flayra posted, and I d/l the demo's.
I open Geekplay, click browse, select demo file 1 of that match, or 2 or 3 or 4, and then when I hit play,
this error message shows up (yes the windows one with the Information bubble):

"Could not copy demo-file: the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect"

After that it says Geekplay has made a yadda yadda action and has to be closed, an error log is being created, yadda yadda...

I extracted both geekplay (d0h) and the demofiles to separate directories...
this is probably an easy problem I hope,

and plz don't post "use ingame HL demo play ability" because I am not going to.

Anyone who uses Geekplay reply plz <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ta in advance,

Cheers

    Did you direct Geekplay to your HL dir? It needs HL installed to run demos.

    ThinG , in GeekPlay , under the big sqare named map , you'll see something that says : Path to executable .

    Just click browse and select hl.exe in your Half-life folder.

    Then Play.

    You're welcome <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
