    Robert Van Winkle?........okay, now I can understand why he didn't think Vanilla Ice sounded like such a bad name.

    The only major memories I have are seeing his movie in summer camp back when I was a wee elementary schooler, and hearing his music (and others of its time) while going around the roller skating rink a gazillion times. I know I'm not the sort or age of person who should be saying this, but things were just <i>different</i> then...

    My little sister had a crush on Vanilla Ice. Probably most likely because all her friends had it too. You know, girl hysteria and all. Me? Nah, I was all beastie boys. Even if I couldn't understand half of their lyrics. But man, did they sound bad ****! Vanilla Ice? Bleh, that's so.... coil like.

    Btw. Beastie Boys where white rappers, and to get even further away from cultural stereotyping, weren't / aren't they also from a jewish background?
