Babblers, honestly, accomplish nothing. It's a waste of time for Flayra to work on their AI and make them useful, so why should he bother? The only thing babblers are good for is a little humor at the end of the game.

erm... have you ever faced a GOOD gorge with babblers?

1 web, you're stuck, 5 babblers, you're dead...

what's so bad about that ?

I mean seriously, babblers are carnage when used in the right way, just because 90% of the ppl can't use them right, doesn't mean they are worthless.

I admit, they die fast, yet they do damage when they explode, and one can shoot in such a way you'll empty your clip and when it is empty you'll have 3 babblers munching on you.

If anyone can give me a link to a thread as for the how/why the babblers are actually being taken out, or a quote of flayra or the design team, I'd be much obliged.

They were a fun and usefull option, maybe it should switch "availability" make it a lower level hive ability, but with 1.1, everything will change.

The babblers might not be an awesome weapon of mass destruction, but they certainly aren't bad, they are fun, and definately more usefull than a weapon as "spit"
Although I must admit I have made a few spit kills lately, but they were just luck.

Babblers are cool and usefull, and it sucks that they are getting removed...

But well... I'll trust in Flayra's judgement... He is our Shepherd... He'll do what's best... I hope <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>

There are few Gorges that are actually good enough to use them and I think Devs don't want weapons that are difficult to use. And they were buggy :/

i love babblers and i was just getting good at them. they are not that difficult to use, its just difficult to get good at them (like almost every other weapon)

If the dev's are going to be like that, then they might as well drop NS totally (the steep learning curve)

JP+hmg is difficult to use as well, most ppl crash and burn, bite isnt easy in the beginning etc etc...
