Please, just let this thread fall to the bottom. It was handled poorly on both sides from what I've read (not all of it, I couldn't stomach it after a while.) Just let it go.

Anyway, Us (EU team) used Ventrilo all along, a very clear voice program. With our differences in skills English-wise it would be suicide to try and understand eachother via HL voice comms.

And we do talk. I talk all along from beginning to end, I hold everyones hand real tightly when I command.. both teams. Its both fun for the players and rewarding for meh. So when I listen to US talking in demos I'd rather say communication and cordination is our strong side, not the weak one.

I think most US clans try to keep voice comm to a minimum so that people can listen better.

Great games guys, EU had some great new tactics that they pulled off perfectly. Oh, and Flay, stick to coding.

AFAIK the first two games (Both the ones TeamEU won) were played on the US server, while the next two (Including the opne Team US won) were played in Europe.

Just the other way around Emsee.

Not true. And by that I mean I don't agree. If you ever visit other countries you will notice that people live differently. This gives rise to different cultures for different countries. And a different culture will engender a different mindset in people. So a European player would play differently to an American one.

At one point in, I think, the second demo Flayra mentioned that the American Comm likes to gain many res nodes early on, lightly defend them and overwhelm opponents with "the big guns" - superior firepower. Now America itself does this in wars. Or whoever runs it. Carpet bombing, better weapons, etc. You can see how this sort of mindset filters down into a game like NS. The American Comm plays like an American General would in a real war. Whereas the British, for example, would rely on superior tactics and placement - destroying key installations, etc.

I hope that didn't come off as bashing any country, but I just mean it to show that a person's nationality WILL affect his or her mindset. And yes I realise that more than Britain played in TeamEU.

I certainly thought so. I also liked how he would switch to free roaming mode to provide more innarestin' coverage of the match - like shooting off round a corner when a marine knifes an alien res node in order to see if an alien had come, etc. Great stuff.

For someone responsible for keeping the NS community happy and meshed, I find this entire topic and almost everyone's conduct in it pretty awful. Both groups seem to be lacking modesty and good sportsmanship. BOTH sides of the Atlantic. I realize that the last page of posts were much nicer, so don't feel like you instigated the lock (I just found this thread).

So everyone, please try to be nicer to each other. Or I will kill you and make it look like an accident.
