It was really close to 4-0, even got the base down but we just failed to take down enough ress and we got pwned in tanith alien.
European team:

Aliens: Tark (gorge), Stalk, no_fx, Travisdane, Wltrs, G-
Again, good game. Ended a moment ago and its 5.50am here in Finland.

Not gona go thru the hole list coz ill prob get a few wrong but, players are from UK/Sweden/Finland/Germany/Netherlands/France/..think thats all of em.

I'm going to lay down my judgements on Travis now. He seems to be using his consciouss side of the brain when he is playing. But when the guys were relocating into the vent hallway in the first round he should have hid behind those pipes and surprised them but he had to wait and see who was making the noise. Still, they won and I don't really know what he was thinking. Good player.
Watching this has boosted my confidence enough to make me want to try out. Hopefully the HLDS thing will be fixed soon so I can actually play on all of the servers. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

out of curiosity, how were the people chosen? Also have they ever played together before or was it a bunch of strangers who were decided as "the best" all thrown together and expected to work as a team?

Personally I think I'm a better skulk then the people that were on the USA and perhaps better marine, though my aim is kinda twitchy at times (mainly when I'm being rushed by 2 skulks and know I'm gonna die)
basically what us did was pick who were available then threw them at eu.. gg

can u elaborate a bit?
btw I live in the states, and I have to admit I was rather dissapointed to see USA lose.
But I'm just *trying* to see things from a third perspective, and as I see it, Euros were obviously above USA in terms of strategy. They scouted often, welded vents shut, and used mines more frequently since they expected the pressure on the hive and the gorge will keep USA at one hive.
In the last match, USA risked not going DC early by trying to save up for second hive. The switch in strategy would have been a good plan, but they lacked scouting, thus attacked by surprise so many times.
But these are all just my opinions, based on watching 3 of the 4 demos (the third demo was broken, and geekplay messes up my laptop).
Please criticise my opinions though, I'm open about it and willing to change them when priven wrong.
*EDIT* USA had to put together a team where they rarely had a chance to practice with eachother.
*EDIT* looks like teamEU also did not have enough time to practice with the team. Looks even to me.
