Setting Up A Sever

<div class="IPBDescription">Sever help</div> i want to set up a small sever 3v3 cos i like small games, its the first time ive tryed to set up a sever for NS but ive hit a problem ive installed the sever patches and all the other files needed to play i also installed whichbot to see what it was like, but when i go into LAN game in Ns to set up a sever to play the bots on the maps are not NS maps i think they are TFC maps how do i fix this? i did try the search button but i got a load of errors.
I am on Winxp

install ns 1.0 then install ns 1.04 patch remember to use ns directory. now open HL load ns and then start a lan game.

Ahh i'll try that, cos i installed the 80 mb sever patch.

Ummm i just re-installed NS and then the 1.04 patch and the map still aren't there, also where does ns_i386.so file go ?

ns_i386.so is for linux servers. Don't worry about it.

The maps still aren't showing up :s they are tfc maps :S

Sounds like you're using the desktop shortcut to start NS, which is broken. Either use the start menu shortcut, or modify your desktop shortcut's "start in" directory to point to your HL directory.
