    Sadly, it's not really for $400,000. First prize is $50,000, and a license for Epic's graphics engine.

    haha -fool- you were only off by $350.... well the problem is.... NS TOOK OVER 2 YEARS TO DEVELOP... and im sure the team wouldnt want to learn the engine and create a full-blown game for it if they already did it once.

    To be fair, it is advertised as first prize being $400,000. It's just that they claim the engine license is worth $350,000.

    Ha! Isn't the submission date in July? Good luck.

    The submission date is, I believe, for the idea for the mod, not the mod itself.

    Somehow I doubgt it's for an idea. Any moron can spout of 20 pages of in depth ideas about the world's coolest mod, making it is another story.

    Sadly, I was misinformed, and am totally wrong. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Here's the <a href='http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/?contest_overview' target='_blank'>contest overview</a>.

    As they say, however, with an engine license you're perfectly free to take your mod and sell it commercially like any other game. And if your mod is good enough to win the contest, chances are it'd succeed on the marketplace; I can't wait to see what this tourny churns out.

    The only problem with winning the license is how the winner would have to pay taxes on it, which would be pretty expensive. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
