It's just a stupid excuse to overdramtize something liberals have taking like a torch and run with, nothing like exploiting violence and the loss of life for personal gain. Go anti-gun activists.
I have no idea what you are talking about, so here goes a random bit of information: A well-known german politician today went *splat* after a failed parachute jump.
I know, huh?? It's just your typical 'guys with body armor and high powered weaponry, gunning down people left and right, immune to small arms fire, causing havoc on a grand scale and then suing the familes of those they attempted to murder' kind of every day affair.
I can't help but think that the Five seveN would be perfect right now <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

lolfighter, its about a shootout that happened a while ago in America. A couple of guys with AK-47's and Kevlar got into a firefight with police and killed a couple of people. Cops couldnt hurt em cause of the Kevlar but when the SWAT team showed up one of em ended up gettin greased and the other arrested.

When you think about it, those guys had HK90 machine guns and lots of other fun stuff in the trunk but they never pulled them out.
many believe this was not supposed to be a successful bank robbery but a highly dramatic "suicde by cop" case. this is something that is happeneing a lot today in case you didnt know it. All over the world.
I enjoyed it. Pretty good for a made-for-tv movie. Lots of blood too, which was suprising. Hell even in rated R movies they very rarely show the guy getting shot.
And yeah, this is based on a true story. It was before the regular officers had access to m16s or something like that.
What got me about the story is, with all of the regular police officers there shooting at them, why didn't at least one of them get a headshot, even a lucky one? Or aim for the legs... But no, they just kept shooting in the chest, where they knew there was armor...
If you see the introduction...the criminals put on Kevlar bracers and leg pads. Plus I saw bullet impacts on the legs and arms, and it was the white puff of something hit kevlar.
dr.d, it was only the worst shootout of pretty much American history. Ya know, Kevlar and AK47's with drum magazines and even an m16 with a beta-C mag. vs 9mm beretta's.
When I saw the advert on the Tele all I could think of was the phrase "Terrorists Win"... I know it's kind of lame, but that's just what the image elicited in my head. Overall, this was simply something the police weren't equipped to handle. Maybe the SWAT team, but not your average Joe-officer.

I just asked my dad the same question- "44 minutes", countless rounds fired, lots of police but only a couple of criminals, one would think that one officer would have shot them in the head while they were shooting at the other cops. I don't have an answer, it does seem strange.
It comes down to training. When 7.62 FMJ slugs are coming at you, thats what you fall back on. Your trained to shoot center mass, your adrenaline is pumping, targets 25+ yards away shooting back, can't hold your weapon steady even when your braced against a car...
Strange things happen in gunfights. 2 cops were killed when they shot at a suspect, but before they confirmed that the suspect was down they reached down to collect their brass (pick up their spent shells, like they do on the training range).

About every "shocking video" show has like half an hour devoted to it.
