I play on public servers a lot, not having joined any official clan (though I do pinch hit every now and then) I don't get a chance to play on private servers all that often. I am a bit interested in how people decide their favorite server to haunt.

A good server to go to if you want a solid public game

Alien Infestation (generally filled with skilled players though team stacking can be a problem)

I think its going down soon but it was fun to play on.

Voogru servers
a bit crowded but still pretty fun. Solid admins

    I am a regular of the french servers (cause voice communicating in french is easier for me).     Tbh, i think the Blueyonder Public servers are best. they have little to no lag and a wide range of tactics are used as so many people use the servers (this is also a downside as they r always full) there is also a huge range of players to go against sum n00bs but yet sum "elite" if u like a challenge. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    the best public server in the UK is Xtended Play's NS1, hardly any lag, usually an admin on and the skill level is usually much higher than other servers.

    Um, I play on Carnage v1.04. It's the [FAT] clan server, and -={CMF}=- and [FAT] are getting to be pretty good friends through it. In fact, since our server was taken down, it's our new home of sorts. Besides, they have stats <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> . Also, the players seem to be generally good, I hate that about the H2O servers, you have a huge range, and it's not fun to play WITH a ton of new people AGAINST all the "elite", and the scripters.

    well, just an FYI, lots of the regs from the [WHO] server are going to be coming to the Old Fogies Prune Juice server. Namely, the [UVic] clan is intending to come to PJ as the [WHO] server is being shut down for the summer.

    do a search on Gametiger for [OldF] to get the other 2 NS servers we got going <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> however, PJ is our only 24/7 one. it's a 2 ghz, 512 ram, on an OC3.

    i've pimped this server before. mature, good natured, team players, with the minimum of mods (i think we got Hullu's unstuck and marine blood).

    admins are constantly playing there as well.

    so, if your looking for a good group of ppl, who are good sports and friendly, swing on by. ragers, griefer, cheaters are swiftly dealt with.

    I concur, but the pings have been getting a bit funky recently (I went to play there today and it pinged 250! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    The smaller server size sucks a bit tbh but I'm sure Roo has his reasons.
