cause i own with it in 1.04
I get around 30+ leap kills a game on clan servers and they call it an exploit and a bug every server keeps threatining to ban me. I was wondering if leap has changed at all in 1.1
I'm running a 2 Ghz Pentium with 256 meg of ram, and I get 65 some fps. I don't feel like optimizing because the game runs fine... tell me why I "should" have at least 85 fps so I can take advantage of unfair abilities?
NS is the only game where i have EVER needed more than 20 fps, and im upset that ti gives advantages to those with supercomputers, but i am overjoyed that 1.1 claims to resolve that issue.
about leap being slower, darnit. it is no longer the tool used to get around the world anymore?
No I know why I always lose.....
i have a 1.6 gig pentium 4 with a geforce 2 ti and i get 85 fps..... now if you dont get 85 fps and your comp is better than mine.... then you really nee help
my 0.8 gig pentium 3 runs windows and IE and word just spectacularly, theres no reason i should need more than 20 fps in any game, at any time, thank you 1.1
Yep in 1.1 super leap damage is GONE!!!! YAY!!!

Bah, if I was running in 640x480 with 16-bit color, I'd get a nice high fps too... But I prefer to run 1024x768x32 and settle for about 30-60fps depending on the action...

Well.. here's one to think about.
AMD Athlon XP 2100+ Gforce 4 MX 400 64 meg DDR Ram 8x AGP 256mb DDR pc2700 Ram 2 gig set aside as swap space on a 7200 RPM ATA 133 HD Windows XP Pro
Average FPS @ 1024 x 768 x 32: 60 in OpenGL... in DX mode I got 72, but I never changed max FPS... only I get weird map errors in DX mode
Tweaked my configs/settings to the limit, I get 80-100fps. *unless i see more then 2 people on my screen or tons of nades etc*
Back to post, Leap is slower although still fast enough to juke some of the best shooters. Although leap was used to transverse the map, its not really needed with the hightened base speed on skulks and celerity. *celerity is so fast its sometimes to fast to control* I'm not sure about the damage since i never really used it for killing people. *bite always seem to do the job*

So.... why should I be getting 85 fps again?

You suffer from a well known problem with Windows 2K/XP. If you have VSYNC enabled, then you will only get 60 fps max in OpenGL games, as your monitor will default to 60Hz (or 72Hz in the case of D3D). You need to download a program to fix this "issue" and allow your games to run at high refresh rates (and, hence, higher fps). You could also just turn VSYNC off to get higher fps, but then you would still be running your monitor at 60Hz. This would produce visual tearing and studdering. I definately recommend reading this post for more information.

Yes.. well, I've got vsync off.... :-/ I don't get tearing though... but I would like to get higher refresh rate.. only the proggies I've gotten don't seem to work well....

sorry.. but this is the funniest attempt of trying to ask a legitimate question while at the same time trying to sound "elite" or above all others.. kthx....
its actaully impossible to get 30+ leap kills per game on decent clanservers.. leap kills are kinda rare.. and to get 30 kills off random top clanners.. or even actually decent players is kinda ... shady..
but if u play against the NSPlayer gang.. rock on buddy

You dont belive me? Tell me a server and ill own you with leap. Just ask voogru himself if i am good with leap or just ask anyone on the RedPhive servers. I play on the RedPhive Servers all the time. Give your server ip or name, and if its locked, the password. You want to play just pm me.
P.S. i play under this name OR Wertdagf.j2
Edit: no i dont hack or script or use the unlimited energy leap exploit, but youll be saying i do also if your not a server based in america i cant play on your servers.
I'm sorry...but voogru and redphive?... those aren't the best place to go if you're looking for top skilled players. Considering all the plug-ins they have aliens can have cara 3 in less than 1.5 minute of the game.
