A quick tip
Working for an ISP, I hear this every day, and therefore, I thought I would make you all aware, in case you're affected.
BT have an MTU for their networks, a Maximum Transmission Unit, which controls the maximum packet size can be sent through it. The problem was, some time ago BT lowered that size, but didn't tell anyone. As a result, a lot of people experienced heavy lag, as their packets were being transmitted above that size, so they would be fragmented, resulting in twice as many packets as they had before.
You can change your MTU to match this. For which, I suggest www.zensupport.co.uk/MTU/ and read on.
Maybe it'll save me some calls in the future too.

But the MTU thing is OLD, but you'd be surprised how many calls per day I STILL get about it.
