This means it's a British site right. Britain is usually known for its tight gun laws and that includes airsoft.
Anyway I think it's a cool idea. Wouldn't mind a go myself!
Its just a question of popularity, if they made a de_dust airsoft arena it wouldnt get as many visitors as a paintball arena, the opposite would probably be true in America.

Well for one thing this is in the UK, where we're clever enough to have tight firearms laws.
Besides, why is this any more sad than a normal paintball arena where you're supposed to be thinking you're in some kind of warzone, where in reality you're just in some old farmland in Surrey? At least with this arena you'll know you've got a well thought-out and balanced map [flameshield activated].

But as for the whole thing, i think it sounds like a fun idea in general. Everyone knows the map and the strategy, and it would be a good laugh all round.
But i'd LOVE to go there as a lamer, just stand there with a megaphone voice spamming everyone and randomly quitting the game and joining under a different name. Also, i'd run some sort of aimbot or wallhack <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Err paintball, marines get guns and the other team dresses up as skulks and chases them, or they get in mechs..

Actually, most warzones ARE farmland.
But I think the major problem is that this isn't something attempting to emulate the same style of de_dust - it's trying to copy it exactly. Since most gamers are considered nerds, having them build a paintball arena fuels the fire for those who think gamers can't discern reality from fantasy. Not only that, but I fear it will come off as bad as that fat kid with the stick, pretending to have a light saber from Star Wars.
