<div class="IPBDescription">Single player campaigns!</div> Well, I finally played the Half Life single player from start to finish in 2 days on medium. Not that I'm bragging but it was REALLY well done and I was wholly addicted. The marines in the game are VERY intelligent, it was fascinating to play against them. Extremely well done single player, if you haven't played it, give it a chance! This isthe best single player FPS I've ever played.
So my question: How is Blue shift and opposing forces? As good?

Opposion forces is very good, just as good as the standard, even better maybe.

Opposing Force on the other hand it better than Half-Life Single Player. There's a decent amount of new weapons. It's pretty long. Your Allies, the Marines, actually help with blowing doors down, healing you, and killing. ^_^ The story's pretty good until the end, but that doesn't really matter. Once again, GearBox cut down on the Xen crap.
However I agree with Computer Gaming Worlds Review, in terms of advancing the story line and fun, its the sequal that Opfor should have been.
I thought it was very fun as well.
Opfor is a lot longer.
If you are a die hard hl fan play them all. If you want more game play get Opfor. If you want better story line advancement get Blue Shift. But I think most PC game stores sell them in a pack anyways.
Case Closed, USS Darkstar, and Affliction are other SP mods I like. Case Closed lacks story but has nice well-designed levels and enemy placement. USS Darkstar is a fun romp though a spaceship under Zen attack. Affliction is a nice SP mod with new skins for various weapons.
Exactly.
My fave: Natural Selection and They Hunger. Wow. And though I deride its story I love Puke646's graphics. Bloody ace.
Poke646 (Very well done)
They Hunger (Great, but gets repetitive)
Point of View (Good, but short)
Azure Sheep (Great, pure genius)
Half-Quake (Wired, but good)
Wanted! (Old West mod, very well done)
Heart of Evil (Great Vietnam mod with zombies)
They Hunger, long Zombie/RE style mod, models could be better.
Point of View pretty funny, levels look half-assed.
Azure Sheep is long and fun.
Wanted! is pretty bad, not worth it.
Heart of Evil would be good if it was finished.
website? I seemed to be on a roll for finding 404 Error
based pages and site not responding ones as well.
