<div class="IPBDescription">Woo!</div>I might run a server but whenever I try to make a server it just crashes, no matter what mod I use. Any suggestions? It doesnt stay up long enough to show an error message.

    100 percent sure, let me show you the command line i use in my shortcut...

    C:\SIERRA\Counter-Strike\hlds.exe -game cstrike -map de_dust2

    Yes, but I used to run a server. So I needed a shortcut.

    Well, it should be <span style='color:red'><b>+</b></span>map de_dust2, not <span style='color:red'><b>-</b></span>. You should also add a line for players, such as <b>-maxplayers 10 </b>.

    The HLDS commandline isn't very consistent with it's parameter syntax, which is probably a hold over from the iD days...

    Let us know how it works!

    It's actually -maxplayers, not +maxplayers.  Very confusing.

    Actually, you don't have to worry about whether it's + or -. All you have to do is add "maxplayers #" (without quotes) to your autoexec.cfg (inside the mod folder). This applies to any commandline parameter (except to specify mod type). Easiest that way, IMO.
