I know this has NOTHING to do with NS but I also know that it's driving me nuts and there are lots of people that know stuff hanging around here so here goes...

My EVIL screen often starts beeping without reason
It varies from certain mixes of resolutions/color depth/refresh rate
So let's say I have 1024x768 on and it starts beeping ( which it most certainly will cause it's... you know now don't ya ? OK, in chorus now... EVIL ! )
Then if I switch to another like 800x600 or 1600x1200 it stops beeping
So WHY does my screen hate 1024x768 so much ?
And don't come with the tips
- hit it ( that's what i'm using and lately it's just getting worse instead... )
- switch resolution ( that woulden't exactly solve the problem now would it ? )
Everything on this I've seen this far is basicly that my screen is stupid and I should just continue hitting it until I get a new one
But SOMEONE of you guys gotta have some brilliant solution not involving froglegs, snakescales or anything where I first have to decapitate something and bathe in goat blood, right ?

Then it stops an hour later
And starts another hour later
etc
