Same thing happens if you build an obs, get MT then recycle your obs.

You know what i hate way more, if your cloaking and the com drops an observatory by you, you uncloak, even before it builds.

Right now, if you build and upgrade an obs, then recycle it, you still have motion, scanning, and can build phase gates. You only lose distress beacon.

wait, that's not entirely correct. You still get the upgrades you used to have when you loose a building. This means that marines don't have to research MT again if the obs goes down, but they can't drop a phase gate, since that is DEPENDANT on the observatory. In the same way, you can't drop jet packs after your proto lab is gone.......but you don't loose weapons upgrades when the arms lab gets toasted.

PS you can't scan either.....dunno where you got your info

You're mixing up aliens destroying an obs, and the comm recycling the obs. If the aliens destroy it, then you're right. If the comm recycles, he still has scanner sweep, Phase gates, and MT. That's why I recycle my observatoiry the minute MT is researched. That way no aliens can ever take away my PG abilities.
