Not only do I have no idea what you mean, but it is so inappropriate I can tell that you shouldn't have posted this on the entirety of these forums.

I personally recommend forgoing 3rd party programs for this altogether. No need to have more CPU cycles or RAM taken up by something you can do on your own by fiddling with your monitor's settings and using something like the MonitorsDirect ToolKit (which is free for unlimited use):

Click on "launch toolkit" and it will go fullscreen.
In addition, I recommend staying away from so-called "haxed" or otherwise pirated/illegal copies of darn well near anything. The reasons are different for different people -- ranging from morality to computer/data security -- but pirating stuff is generally not good practice.
Even with my monitor/card/game on full gamaa/brightness it is still IMPOSSIBLE to see in most areas even with the use of a flashlight. I dont know how but this program 3deep brightened everything up to a decent, but still pretty dang dark level
Also, you say "none of the test worked out right, and i never really saw any way to change anything." Are you sure you actually even started the tests? For each category (brightness, focus, etc.) there is that intro screen that tells you what you should look for during the test, but you have to press the orange "Go" button at the bottom yourself. During the test, use the controls on the monitor to adjust it how you should.
Some other things to try:
Try putting a different monitor with your computer, even if it's one you normally wouldn't like to use, and see whether things are visible in-game. If you can adjust the settings and everything works the way you want it, your original monitor may be bad. You could do the same with your video card, but it's probably not necessary.
If your monitor and video card are fine, the only piece of hardware left to check is your eyes. No, I'm serious; the lighting in your computer room, angle at which sunlight glares off the screen, etc. may be making it hard to see anything. Try moving any lamps in the room to behind you or turning them on/off, closing/opening the blinds on windows, etc. and see which you like better.
Also be aware that you can still use the gamma tuning program that came with Natural Selection and runs during the install. Try looking in "C:\Sierra\Half-Life\ns\gamma_tune.exe", or another path if you installed HL differently.

its realy really dark in all games, but on the desktop i can change it around fine.
what i mean by they didnt work was that with my monirot contols i was never able to set it to what it was asking
using a differnt monitor fixes the problem, but i dont have acces to any other ones. I had the program 3deep for a 30 day trail and everything was great

Some of us with really, really crappy monitors are forced to either use 3rd party programs or play blind.
It's free, it lasts forever (or at least the new reinstall), it's flexible and it uses almost no resources.
Most IT professionals I know use it, as do many gamers.

I had this same problem myself. Called in tech support and they had me do a couple of little tests and we figured out that the monitor was going bad. That's <i>exactly</i> what it sounds like is happening to you. Everything is dark on your monitor but shows up just fine on others. You might want to start saving up some cash to buy a new one if possible. <a href='http://www.pricewatch.com' target='_blank'>Price Watch</a> has some good monitors reasonably priced or just keep your eyes out for sales in your area.
