Big Problem With Console

<div class="IPBDescription">The Commands Don't Work</div> they're fine if I start up NS and immediately go to the console, but once I connect to a server, it just ignores whatever I type in! No commands work at all. Name, ping, status, quit... I can't rebind any keys, do any admin commands, or even change my name. It only does this in NS, it works fine in DOD, CS, whatever.

I've reinstalled HL + NS, and it still persists.

Anyone got any ideas?

    add -console to the shortcut u use to launch the game (or if your using a third party program that should have support for it (hlsw has a check box))

    I had this problem a while ago. I could bring down the console but none of what I typed would register in the command box.

    I can't rememeber what fixed it though. Try getting one of your shortcuts to another mod and copying the commands after the .exe. Mine's (For NS) "-game ns -noipx -32bpp -nointro -console" and I can access the console fine.

    Scythe, having -nointro when you have -console is pointless
    And Jabba, he does get console

    Anyway this has been a pointless and evil post but then again, that's me
