    hlds 3.1.1.1(linux) + NS + FBSD = CRASH.. it's confirmed

    Lots of potentially helpful pointers over in the UA forums. However, it seems that universally, performance with x.1.1.1 is suckola.

    If you're running FreeBSD make sure you've turned off the new <b>sv_stats</b> variable and set it to 0. That feature only works on Linux and is currently not compatible with FreeBSD.

    Well, it sort of works, but you'll get a ton (2000 pounds of text <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) of junk about failures to read Linux /proc entries that FreeBSD doesn't have.
