ok, since i'm a fan of the discussion forums, I went to ezboard (horrible system I know...but it works) and made my own community/forum for...Natural Selection people.

Just finishing up the basic-touches. I'll tweak it some more later but I have to get pizza now.

    I've got a message board set up with Invision on my personal website (<i>the site is still being developed</i>), and it's very very easy to set up. It might take about 20 minutes to find a few things during your first time playing with it, but everything is very well-designed for the administrators. I had my whole message board up and running with a couple of categories and about a dozen forums within an hour.

    Invision's default color scheme is half-decent too. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Smoke: Nice forums, but you really need someone else to help you with the colours. As Monse said, it needs a woman's touch. I suggest Comprox.

    And I always thought it was pronounced more like "Zee goggels, zey do nothink!" Works either way.
    Best of luck in this endeavor of yours (don't ask why that high-school-vocabulary-test type word popped into my head). I may pop in when I see a thread I particularly like.

    [Edit] Fam, at least point Comprox to this thread so he has a chance to defend himself. Besides, that "woman's touch" comment may have been just code-language for "I'll see if I can drag my fiancé into the NS community by showing her how hopeless we are with our tastes in colors."

    I kid, I kid. I see the colors are considerably more readable now. It'll take tweaking over time to get to something everyone seems to agree on, but at least we're seeing that SmokeNova is putting time into it [/edit]

    yeah, I know Invision is better, but I have no extra cash for bandwidth and EZboard is free...plus I get to be super duper mod.


    MonsE, I gave you Admin power on the Ezboard forum and same with Syco, cept he's a general purpose mod.
