So much eye candy... such a crappy comp.
Well, ive enjoyed looking at all the screenshots u guys have posted, and i must say that you guys release far more info to the public than any of the other mods ive checked out.
But with all of the screenshots, i cant help but bother to think what kind of comp would be the bare minimum to run NS on. I mean, i have as crappy of a computer as they get so im wondering if i will be even able to play this mod at all
1)What would you guys say are the minimum requirement to play a decent game of NS would be?
2) Do you think that i could play using a Celeron 400 MHZ with 128 SDRAM and a voodoo3 card without much trouble?
Thanks for the info.

However, realize that Flayra's got a boat-anchor of a computer as well, and definitely wants it to run on older computers. So he's definitely got you in mind.
4-year-old Pentium II 266MHz.
320MB RAM
Voodoo Banshee
I've playtested on 3 different nights so far... the first and last nights, my fps was absolutely horrid. Combined with the unfamiliarity of the game, I was a sitting duck. The 2nd night I played (and last night, when I joined for a stress test but didn't play), my lag/fps were fine... totally playable, and I was even mildly useful!
I'd call my system the absolute bottom of the line... I was running at 640x480 and could tell I was pushing my luck. But there you go... Flayra, write those down for "minimum requirements."
Note: Flayra has plans to have NS playable in software mode... probably need a slightly faster CPU than mine, but then you won't need the graphics card. w00t!
Do you know how impossible it is to answer a question like that? lol... There are sooo many different system configs you can have, nobody here has the exact same, I GUARANTEE you.
If you want to get an idea, go and play Halflife. Then subtract a handful of FPS, because the maps are bigger, and the textures and models seem more detailed (to me, at least).

Celeron 333mhz
ATI Rage IIc with 4mb SGRAM (Direct3d support no OpenGL)
128mb of DRAM
When I play TFC i get a fps of 15. Hopefully I can get a job and go get a geforce3 at least.
There are still those old Mini OGL drivers out there, which work pretty fine with HL and Unrealengine based games.
I had to upgrade my old Banshee to a GeForce 2 MX when WC 3.3 introduced the new OGL viewmode, and actually got lower FPS in Deus Ex than I had before.

i think my computers ready for NS, of course, it may freeze a few times like in cs, fa, and... some other mod i play... (blasted graphic card! and that goes for my weak memory)
Right now I'm running an Athlon 1800+ with 768 MB of 333MHz DDR RAM. I plan on buying a GeForce4 Ti 4200 as soon as they're available in my area.
Can't remember wether this refered to compiling or actual gaming, though.

AMD AthlonXP 1700. 512mb PC2100 DDR. GeForce4 TI4600.
I plan on maybe buying a GeForce 3 since they get cheap cause of GeForce 4.
Also I only have a 800Mhz CPU and you should have at least 1GhZ to run GeForce 3 perfectly.

Compiling.
MY personal recommendation would be to get a GeForce4 Ti 4200 in about a month or two. That's what I'm going to do. In that time, the NVidia NV30 and the Matrox Parhelia are going to drive down the GF4 prices.
As for buying a GeForce3, the GF4 Ti 4200's cost ABOUT the same as a GF3, but they blow it out of the water, performance-wise.
Just my $0.02
450mhz, 64megs RAM, nVidia TNT1...

Hate you
Honestly, Sono, I don't know. I would assume yes, there would be. Graphics cards are coming with more and more processing power on them, and rely on the CPU less and less.
Also, even if it does only give you GeForce3 quality graphics, that card should last you a long time. So, when you eventually build a new computer, you already have a pimped-out video card for it.
That's the way I look at it anyway.
