Yesterday I was playing a game of Public Enemy (new HL mod) and there was someone playing called Flayra.
He indeed said he was the real Flayra but as always, I was doubtful.
Just wondering if it really WAS you.

    Egh, while we're on the topic of Public Enemey(well we sorta are) what does everyone else think of it?

    It's got nice looking graphics, but there seems to be really nothing else there. The gameplay is just the same old CS clone thing we've all seen a million times. Not as engaging as NS is at all. Again though, the graphics are real purty.

    I like it!
    It's fast paced, the idea of cybernetic upgrades (a la deus ex) are nice and allow for customization. It's still a beta so lots of stuff to be ironed out (look at the difference between 1.0 and 1.04 of NS). The game is fast, some nice ideas in there, the weapons are blasty without being too overkill...
    I guess it's down to taste really..
    Shooting homeless people and birds is a HUGE plus <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> JK!!!!

    meh, I do find it slightly amuzing that every one always calls things like this a CS clone...
    CS wasn't the first, it is a fairly standard sytem of play...

    Now seriously, some NS players out there act as if Flay was some kind of pop star or something, a god-like phenomenon. Getting on my nerves, to be honest. He does a great job and he brought a great game to us, but that doesn't mean you have to worship him and I don't think he likes it either.

    If he did not want to be recognized, he would not be named "Flayra" and not have the TSA logo next to his name in servers.

    This mod is pretty cool, but in same case's is annoying, like spawning with a knife.

    Let's hope not. Because a lot of times those who adore the celebrities equally love watching the celebrities crash back down to Earth so to speak. Some people just love to watch high profile people fail. Which makes me suspect that after 1.1 comes out, if it isn't this perfect specimen most people expect it to be, there's going to be a huge number of people flaming these boards and whining, and an equal number gloating and laughing. I seriously hope that doesn't happen but I wouldn't be surprised if people acted like that.

    Attention ownz! and I think Flay and the rest of his team deserve it. NS was nothing more than a teaser on the radar blip for a while, I can only imagine the suspense of it, wondering if it was gunna own or flop. Now that it blew away the mod scene I say more power to the arse kissing (smooching sounds eminate)

    I was just curious if it indeed WAS Flayra, first cuz it'd be lame for someone to impersonate him, second because he is in a weird, geekish way a celibrity. It's just cool getting to speak to someone who has had such an impact on anything..not as much a celebrity as just an influencial person. And as for the cult celebrity thing..if you make anything that has a risk of being liked by people, you risk getting recognized for it..
