Well, the Gripen does have a notably poor performance history in show performances. That's why some people just can't take it seriously. When Finland was deciding which fighter it should purchase to augment the somewhat-outdated airforce, the demo flight of the Gripen ended embarassingly when the landing gear failed and the fighter turned upside down on landing. There was also the incident with an out-of-control Gripen over Stockholm.

"Flyger som JAS... Ejecting!"

Seriously, though, I don't think it's a bad plane compared to the Eurofighter: A fighter that took way too long to develop and when it finally came out it was already somewhat outdated.

Well im sorry, it happens. Did I mention anything about freindly fire? No. The a-10's were flying a bit high that day, and didnt see the reflective IR square paint on them..and they certainly do look like russian tanks from up top.

They weren't cleaning it properly. They were using old methords that didn't clean the SA80 completely. When cleaned properly the SA80 can still work even when it has been submerged in sand.

Now back to the topic. This is one hell of a helicopter

Not only is the rotor silent, but it also has a reduced radar profile. And it's just so cool looking.

You can have one in Desert Combat (Battlefield 1942 MOD), really cool there, but if you get a "Frogfoot" after you, its oooover.

Su-25, A.K.A Frogfoot

Question: Does the frogfoot actually have an uber-minigun, or did the creators of DC just put that in to make it equal to the A-10?
• LokeLoke Join Date: 2003-02-25 Member: 13988Members
Answer: Almost, it has a very powerful gatling-gun, the A-10 Tank buster does have it to in the MOD.
But you will have to at least shot 1000 bullets (it has 1500 from the start) for it to sink down... pretty unrealistic.

Yase, it's existed for quite some time now. It isn't armed, it's for surveillance only... Heh, the article where I read about it(magazine) told of one of the testing flights, where they flew over a farm, and a man was outside. He saw it, and supposedly said(the disc had a mic) "Give me my gun, the aliens are after the chickens again"... anyone believe that part?

Better yet : how about an expenses contest ? Find the most expensive stuff around ! btw , there will be different categories (boats w/ carriers , planes w/ stealth bombers , ect)

This should at least give us an idea of how much money is wasted into theses things.
