That's one we were considering already. It's a real Welsh/Celt name, and it's traditionally pronounced "KEE an".

    Marek.

Or Benaiah. Could call him Ben.

It's not "biblical," like Matt, Mark, Luke, or John, but there is a pretty cool dude in the OT named that.

2 Samuel 23:14 At that time David was in the stronghold, and the Philistine garrison was at Bethlehem.
15 David longed for water and said, "Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!"
16 So the three mighty men broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out before the LORD.
17 "Far be it from me, O LORD, to do this!" he said. "Is it not the blood of men who went at the risk of their lives?" And David would not drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.
    (...)
20 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, who performed great exploits. He struck down two of Moab's best men. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.
21 And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian's hand and killed him with his own spear.
22 Such were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada; he too was as famous as the three mighty men.

Okay, let me give it a shot, although I usually have problems even naming RPG characters properly...

    Calhenheri (short maybe Cal)

Feanor (can't go wrong with LOTR)

Erekose (no, not a girl's name, but I guess it doesn't sound that good in english, try it the german way...
E (as in <u>E</u>ric) - re (as in <u>re</u>ssurection) and the ending like the mexican Hozeee or whatever that name is.

    Guess that's enough from me...

    how about an inprounoucable symbol?

    can't go wrong with § or ¿ <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hmm.. Name him for one of Michael Moorcock's eternal champion characters... That's a thought. I really wish there was a fitting name in the Elric of Melnibone series, as that is one of my favorite stories.

Relic you just <b>have</b> Tassadar Roberts. You just know that all of your friends will be jealous that you have a kid named Tassadar. Hell, they might get so jealous they might kidnap him! <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I stand behind Jim/James.

However, you could name him the French word for seal, thereby making him easily the coolest kid on the block, as soon as he's old enough to know what it really means. Hohoho, I can't wait til I have kids.

I like Cyan, James, Thomas, and Mark, too.

Heheh, yeah Frankenstein Roberts has a nice ring.

Heres my entries I suppose (good luck and congrats!):

    Keegan Roberts

    Errol Roberts

    Mercury Roberts

    Night Roberts

I always thought it was kind of funny that you just don't see any "Adolph"s any more. Wonder if there were more of them before Mr Hitler, or if it was always a rare name.

Judge: Hmm. "Hercules Rockefeller". "Rembrandt Q. Einstein".
"Handsome B. Wonderful". Huh, I'm going to give you the only
name you spelt correctly. From this day forward, your name
    shall be ...

[cut to a shot of Lisa, reading from a sheet of paper on the Simpsons' couch]

    Lisa: "Max Power"?
    Homer: Dynamic, isn't it?

Well, if I ever have a son, his name's going to be either Jack or Luke. Semi-common names, but I've only known one Jack and one Luke in my life so far.

Aside of that, the name Xander is really cool too.

Or Chance, Hubert, Robitussin, Chicago, Indiana, Potato... mmm... Potato Roberts.. *drool*

You could look to the stars, of course. Rigel, Beetleguese, Vega, Orion, Haley, Io, etc.

I'm gonna name my son Rab, just because it's a cool name, how will someone tease him with that name?

I say you play rocks-paper-scissors with your wife to decide who gets to name him, who says the fun stops when you're an adult? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

well if the guy ends up not liking his first name, be sure to give him a good backup of a middle name. Though in my family it is traditional that the first born son get the first name of the father as a middle name and the first born daughter the first name of the mother as a middle name.

That said, I know a guy who's first name is Ashlie, didn't know that till I had to look him up though, he goes by his middle name of Banjamin.

Why doesn't that surprise me at all?
Nevermind, same goes for me, Moorcock is just a very good writer. Guess I won't post any names from all the Eternal Champion books though because you can probably look em up yourself. Ah, darnit, I just have to for the all uninformed posters here:
    Corum
    Rhakir
    Rhynn
Kwll (now that would be something.... not everyone has a name without vowels...)
    Dorian
    Arioch
    Arkyn
I better stop now, before I end typing up the books. Go here for more names from the books:
    <a href='http://www.multiverse.org/tanelorn/thechronicleoftheblacksword/conframesalt.html' target='_blank'>Names from Eternal Champion books</a>
And if all else fails, just go with Stormbringer...
