1.1 And Demos

Ok, so far out of what I have read, I have come to believe that 1.1 will not support running 1.04 demos. that's isn't a major concern. What does interest me is... Will 1.1 allow for the viewing of motion tracking and hive sight within the demos? I am currently teaching a couple of n00bs how to rambo efficiantly if needed, and would like to show them that motion tracking is a rambo's best friend. you can view the demo here,

as you can see, people without knowing what is where would say "WTH is going on" we had motion, and that fade could have slashed me open without it. if the game was not over, we could have done a few things with that any of those positions.

Please let me know if I will continue to suffer and watch/record demos without motion or hivesight. thank you very much.

    I must say that just from the point of view of trying to catch cheats etc. it would be good to have motion and hive sight recorded as part of the demos. Otherwise I think we'll be hearing 'oh, we had motion tracking' all to often in defence.

    I can't find the specific reference, but I recall a post by a dev (I think Flayra himself) saying that 1.1 will still be able to play 1.04 demos.

    I remmeber someone saying that demos will be better in 1.1, so this might be one of the changes.

    I concur. Seems extremely similar to what we were talking about before. :/

    But back on the topic, it would be great from a cheat catching perspective. The ISP I'm an admin for does not allow us to ban people without evidence and without the motion/hive sight, majority of demos trying to catch cheats won't be able to be used. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
