I found it a bit slow if you're on your own, but that's obviously not the point of multiplayer. Once I teamed up with a few people, it got far more interesting. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
My friend has a passworded server set up, so we usually join in and play maybe two or three nights a week. 'Course, we've only been playing for a week so far. We've all got our ships decked out just the way we want, and the combination is deadly.
I'm all-out fast-firing hull-crushing damage, with some eraser missiles just in case I need to take out the shields quickly. One friend spends a fortune on missiles and mines, which is an insanely effective loadout when taking base-destruction missions. Another one is the cargo guy, and the rest are a mix of vanilla fighters.
We'll usually do a long trade run with a huge profit potential, but we'll sometimes stop at a major base to pick up a mission on the way. It helps break the monotony of "... -> tradelane -> jumpgate -> tradelane -> fight lanehackers -> tradelane -> .....". <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Me and some mate got 800k and looked for a Titan, we got all the way to berlin about 300 shields later and...
Titans are miles away.
So i got a Falcon Heavy Fighter, 237k.
His crashes every time he buys a plane...
I was playing my copy at 10am while SBV was in
school <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Apparently SBV spammed the hell outta his mate Ginger
on MSN and caused a few issues with his PC. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
Naughty SBV, we'd all be playing nicely if it weren't
for you and you spam <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
You got yours working online yet DY?
I am so, upset.
I was about 5k away from getting a Titan... Damn.
Ehh? How? Does he drives into the planet without going into the (forgot the name, but it is a round circle that you must drive into, or you will crash into the planet) circle thing?

Freelancer used to crash/freeze on me every time I went into the Multiplayer section of the menu. It was frustrating as hell because I didn't know why it would crash, and I ended up re-installing the game 3 times.
Finally, I went to Windows Update, updated <i>everything</i>, and then it worked perfectly. Try that.
