Bright Screen..

help
When I play NS it works fine and I congradulate the team on this great mod. But whenever I close Half-Life my screen is a lot brighter...I'm worried about this because my old computers video card was fried (Either it was old or had a lot of wear on it. It was an Nvidia). Is NS causing the problem? And how can I make my screen not get messed up after I play? This only happens when I play NS and I really like the mod but I dont want to break my computer

well I can tell you where the prob stems from (I think)

NS has a 'fake gama tweaker' (or something like that) basicaly it plays around with some stuff thus making NS look that much cooler

oh well, wait till MonsE gets here he will probably fix it for you

Hmm... it should definitely not be leaving the overbrightening effect enabled when you exit NS - can you post information about your OS, Video Card, and Monitor? That was an old issue that was thought to have been quashed.

But if it does do this, there is a shortcut in your 'Start | Programs | Natural Selection' menu called 'Reset Gamma'. Just click that and your gamma settings will restore to usual.

Aha. I have the same problem if HL crashes while playing NS. I didn't know there was a simple solution like that, Monse. Cheers.

Yeah, my friend actually has a simliar problem on his system. If you want, I can get his specs.

Dude, your specs don't matter, it could happen to anyone! Read the thread, someone already gave the solution. Find "ResetGamma.exe" in your NS directory.

    Good try though.

I would like to apologize, Thansal. It is insulting of me to act like that. However, you came on just the same way. Let's be allies...not enemies.
Thansal has said to me that MonSe hopes to have the problem fixed, but for the anyone still having problems, the solution is provided above.
