Has A Doctor Ever Spited You?

because i was...
Alright, i'll start this story from the beginning...
I broke my left middle finger back in Nov. and I finally had the thing set properly back in march.
Now after i got it done i was put into a half cast, which i considered basically a splint, with the plaster on the bottom and a tensor bandage holding it onto my arm. Now i went in 2 weeks after got it x-rayed and the doc said it was looking fine so he gave me basically what i had in the first place, but removable. So i was supposed to go in a week after to have it looked at again, but because the hospital was on quarintine because of SARS i was turned away... Now in the 1st week i had this removable cast i only took it off to shower, which is what the doctor said I could do... but after being turned away at the door of the hospital, i began taking the cast off more and more to the point near the end of the week i only had it on at night.
I know i wasn't supposed to do this but meh, what can you do. So i go in to see the doctor and he takes an x-ray and discovers the joint has slipped a bit. He explodes at me and starts ranting about how I destroyed his work. So i went from a removable cast to a full cast, not one with a tensor bandage holding it on, the kind that is wrapped all in plaster, so once again i'm back to taking showers with a plastic bag on my arm....

Yeah I think thats common practice. It's the Hospitals/Dr's
way of sayin "keep the damn thing on or it might get infected
or worse"
You don't wanna be taking a shower and have your finger fall off do you
I think the Doc gave you removable dressing to make his
job easier next time you visit and so you can leave faster.
Change doctor. Not only he's not doing a good job, he's not being nice to his clients. Just.. change doctor
/me ponders going to a doctor...
Fargen canadian doctors... if this happened in the US, go have a nervous breakdown and sue the HMO/Hospital say you cant work and you have nightmares about the doctor yelling at you, your too affraid to move your finger and you are depressed!!!
Long time ago, I strained my finger, but since I thought it was one of those things that I really didnt need to go to the doctor and get charged $200 for, I just let it heal by itself.
It healed crooked, now it wont even straighten out if I try to hold it straight. But it does bend backwards alot farther than the other "normal" one, I can make the tip of it parralell with the back of my hand.
we cant help it if we are a little socialistic can we?
