looking in hlmv, i see lots of neat death animations for alien and marine structures, but in 1.0 we just get a puff of smoke... is implementing the animations something being worked on for 1.1?
haha, true... dead lerks need to look more dead. having that model sitting there looking like its alive is pretty silly and confusing.
edit: check out the fall_death animation. it seems that should be the default animation for all deaths, having the lerk laid flat out on its stomach with wings out when dead.

I've always wanted to see buildings show a little more eye-candy when they die. When I first saw an alien res tower I expected that when it died the big gas bag would deflate and the whole thing kinda collapse inwards. For the other alien structures something feasible might be having them bleeding green goo when they're in the yellow/red, and sagging into a heap of organic matter when they die. Of course, all this kinda stuff must be limited by how much lag they would produce, so I don't know what the devs will do....

lerk spikes a TF to death an it rolls over? That would look weird.
