Yet Another Adminmod/metamod Request

Player muting. I have tried the admin_mute plugin, but doesn't seem to work. Is there a better plugin for gagging mouthy players?

    bind a key to "toggleeditps". Hit that button, and your mouse cursor will change into the "mute" cursor, just like you'd mute in CS.

    Not exactly muting just people I don't want to listen to, lets say a llama gets on and is constantly using his mic. I want to shut him off, for everyone.

    sv_voiceenable "1"

    just exec a command on the client that sets sv_voiceenable to 0. Then they won't be able to talk, that's how clan mod does it.

    it didn't work because the command is admin_gag
    not admin_mute

    admin_gag only stops them from typing

    i believe it's actually cl_voiceenable

    sv_ only applies to the server end cvars

    Acutaly another good addition to adminmod for NS would be admin_eject to force the ejection of the comm....

    and on a not sor serious suggestion id recomend since we cant force the change of players names because we cant run commands on client id like to see like admin_chicken "llama" where it would use some of the chickenmod info to trun the llama into a chicken and remove the ability to peck.. so basicly its a useless chicken running around until they can redem themselves by disconecting and reconecting with better names...

    and my final idea is the "llama box"

    its just a small 3D space that could be put into all the maps and admins can use a command to put them in the "llama box" and inside the box it would have pictures of lamas (the animal) so they have the choice to sit there and stare and do nothing or disconect themselves thus linstead of kicking them and there being a chance they wont get the hint you can just force them into the box and make them leave themselves... oh and of course all text and voice in the box will be null so he canot send / recive text unless admin specificly sends him a messadge

    1. Kicking them does the same as ejection. If you are doing this to get rid of a bad comm, why not use the in game voting system? If you're doing it just so you can admin, then why not just kick them?

    2. Who says we can't change players names? The only thing removed in the latest adminmod was exec_client unbindall.

    3. The llama box is worthless cause they'd just be taking up a player slot on the server. I'd much rather admin_bury or admin_kick. Or better yet - nsaf_ban...

    [edit] well actually, i'm looking at my config.cfg and there is a sv_voiceenable 1 too.... i guess try them both and see which works

    Ditch the AdminMod, install ClanMod, and I assure you, you'll NEVER look back! On screen menus allow voice-mute, teleport, slap with various damages, bury, exec client commands, and much much more.
