I could only find it on fileplanet though (I didn't look very hardactually), so you can llok for it somewhere else if you want to, but it is an official release from Rockstar games, and it says it works on XP and newer systems.

Wouldn't it be nice that everygame after being out for about 5-10 years were freeware? Damn you lucas arts, make me pay for 12 year old games!!

    The second one has been free for a bit. You could dload it, but it came with a bunch of spyware or something. Ah well. Still free! I bought it of course, now I feel stupid.

    That's probably the Freeloader version you've had your fingers onto. From the pre-2000 Bubble Bust dot.bomb when people thought that INTERNET + FREE = $$$.

    nope, its the full version, from Rockstar themselves. Even includes the audio tracks and etc.

    Though sadly, there's no opengl or even Glide support, just crappy slow slow slow software mode. :( And also netplay is completely unplayable on even a 2 person cable-vs-cable game. :( :( :(

    I remember that game ! ;p

    I remember when me and my friend got all excited when the 2nd one came out. We were like 10 or something like that, but it was waaaayyy cool at the time.

    To make it easier, Yes im 17. However, not your typical 17 year old, not with my family, i've been exposed to shakespeare and politics and literature since i was like 6
