how exactly is it being fixed in 1.1? the one in use right now just plain sucks. marines are able to build huge bases right at the beginning while the sole alien gorg has to sit and wait 5 minutes just to build the first resource tower. the bigger the server, the faster the marine res flow in but it gets ridiculously slow for aliens.
