Ns Capture The Flag!

I usually jump all over ideas like this like a skulk on an LA\LMG, but it really sounds like fun. Come on, even if it's implemented it's not going to replace vanilla NS. It'd be nice after you've played a good six or seven rounds to just relax with something like this.

All work and no play...

Heck, LMS (Last Man Standing), CTF, etc is quite fun if made properly; and i for one would like to see some of these in NS just to get away from the "Get two hives, build up, rush/seige" thing.

HA ha ha. nice demo, too.

You can do what you want on your own servers, but i I was slighty miffed at the idea that Flayra was encouraging it...people might start thinking thinking that ns_missilecommand is acceptable as a NS map...sorry if i sound a little annoyed, but you've got to let it out sometimes...

That's because most alien teams don't know how to do a Second-hive/lerk rush to counter the jp/hmg rush. To summarize:

1 gorge evolves on the 3 empty nodes. As soon as he builds/starts the last node on his side, he types kill and another gorge on the other side finishes the last two nodes. Then he saves for the second hive building nothing until the hive gets started. JP's should arrive before the second hive finishes, but if you do it right, the second hive should be 3/4's of the way complete before they get there. The other players in the meantime save for lerk. They can adjust the amount of resources they get by how often they suicide rush. Aliens should at least have 3 lerks to defend the hives. 3 lerks with spikes will bring down a jp pretty quickly. If you plan it right, you'll have lerks right before the jp's come. Once the second hive is up, it's all downhill for the marines (at least if you have a skilled enough alien team that can pull off the hive/lerk rush).
