I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with the "old" design docs and stuff.  I haven't looked at them for awhile, so I'm not sure exactly now relevant they all are and whether they are or not, whether they should be out there for public viewing or not. I see that overmind.org is still down, even though the new month has started. Let me get my life in gear and I'll get back to you. If you haven't heard from me in a little bit, definitely pester me again (I'll try not to force you to do that though).
 
I'd love to host fansites on the NS site but we're just not set up to do that, either bandwidth wise, or account wise. I'd  hate to have you spend money to do this, but I'm not sure what viable alternative I have right now.

Yes, it's me MonsE from the boards. I was hoping to use the design doc just as a way to fill in some holes in the BBS where people mention 'things you would know if you read the design doc, you newb' - not as the gospel of NS.

As far as the site goes, I don't mind shelling out a few bucks for a Domain Name and a site. Actually, I might be able to find some web hosting from some buddies for cheap, as long as I don't do download mirroring. I'll see what I can do. I really like the idea of a fansite, as it becomes a way to get the word out, and let's your team focus on the important stuff.

Wow, 8 short months ago, I remember clearly I was becoming a fanboy for Ghost Recon, and knew only what steve had told me of NS.  Time flies... How long have we had this new board? I seem to recall assurances that these orange buttons would be tempory and that someone chruned out some really excellent infested ones. Maybe some buttons with infestestation on one side and marine-blue on the other are in order?

Nah. The first NS related website was Flayras overmind.org. Then came natural-selection.org, which got reworked very soon to the fabulous style we all know and love. MonsE joined shortly after and began RR.org at first as simple fanpage which then became official because it was the best excuse Flayra could get for not updating NS.org's news <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
