accually my just my first model
I downloaded Milkshape because I wanted to have a go at modeling too, but I was so damn lazy to read any tutorial. Here's what came out, but after looking at other models posted here I think I'll just add a lot more detail...
Still, I'd like to know what the pro's think of my first model...

I'm not a pro... but that does look good.

But it looks more like the pistol we have now.

hmm, I've read a milkshape tutorial now and found out that I made a gross error when making this model. It's consists entirely out of boxes, that aren't welded together or anything. I think I'll have to redo it entirely, but maybe there's some hope left in saving this one, I sure hope so

Looks good; take some fine tuning to it and it will be marvellous...

    Just take your time

I used one mentioned in the Modeling 101 topic, MS3D: Digital Sculpting: By Scarecrow
I'ts the first basics about making a human model, a very nice tutorial to start with.

that tutorial isn't the best one in the world, neither is it the best method...i use the connect the dots method myself, it makes it harder to understand what exactally your doing, but it doesn't need to be welded... (most of the time)....if you start with skinning, some of us would be very appreciative...

i say that because my scratched up gun.... turns into cammo....don't know what i'm doing wrong, but ohh well....
