<div class="IPBDescription">Donations?</div> I read awhile back that the NS team might consider putting a donation option advailable. I lost the topic, silly me. I for one would love to donate money so NS could evolve faster. Whatever happened to that idea?

Believe it or not.
I once saw 3 different icons in the tab- score bar.
One Hive for Developer (flay), 3 Green PCs for Admins, and some Yellow stuff at one other person.

Yep, you can go do this now, just go to the FAQ and you'll see a Paypal button. We'll be unveiling it officially in the near future, once we get some other stuff finished up.

If anyone knows they're going to donate eventually, I strongly urge you to do it now rather then later. Times are quite tough at the moment. :)

If you donate $20 or more you'll be part of the Constellation program, which will get you an icon next to your name on all servers. More details coming.

Well <i><b>I</b></i> sure can't afford $20.00, I'm in debt and unemployed.....well in college at any rate.....but I'm scraping together what I can anyways. I'd have to say ns is, well will be once I've actually amassed the funds, the best $20.00 I've spent. Anyone who starts to say "......if I had the cash....." stop...think for a second....figure in your head that if you save for month $20.00 is only about 67 cents a day, which is less than a can of soda. If you can honestly say you can't afford that, fine. If you don't want to pay, thats also cool with me I am denfinatly not in any postion to tell others what their moral obligations are.......just don't make excuses.

I should be donating right now instead of bothering to post, but I really dont want to bother with paypal, oh to heck with it 50 bucks coming your way. If I would have stayed home last night and played NS, I wouldnt have blown 200 dollars partying, dang it. (I am without a doubt the root of all problems that exist in this world, somehow I just know it.) <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> Might as well give money were it will be used for something usefull.

EDIT: Well since posting I donated 50 to paypal, it was simple and hassle free. Any checking account debit card will work if its got the Mastercard or Visa logo.

Nope. Our new systems allows updating icons without releasing new versions of NS. After donating, you should be able to see your in-game icon almost immediately.

I'll donate $25 next Friday, most likely. I figure I'd certainly be willing to pay for this game retail, so that's pretty much what this is. Buying the game. And hey, it's even the same system I generally use. Try it out for free and sans any copy protection bugs, and then actually buy it if I like it.

supernorn - you won't need to spend a whole 20 quid to get the icon. The pound still trades with the dollar at a 1.5:1 ratio, so 15 pounds would probably show up in his account as 20 dollars.

What about currency exchange. I would love to donate, but the australian dollar is worth half of the US green. SO i would have to pay $40 of my dollars to get the icon. And if i pay i want the icon, but $40 is like a commerical release amount. So, **** it, ill work it out.
