please tell me how
Forgive me for sounding like a complete newb, but I'm honestly wondering how I can check the FPS I get playing NS. I know it's *bad*, but I'd like to be able to numerically check my FPS before and after I tweak things. NS is my first online shooter, so I've never needed to check my frames before this...
So anyways, if someone could let me know how to actually *check* my FPS, I'd be grateful.
p.s: I tried to search for this topic, but unfortunately the search is giving me 'page not found' errors, so I appologize if this is a repeat post

But turn it off when you want to play because it will give you a pretty important performance hit.
To take it off, type net_graph 0 in the console.
You can leave cl_showfps 1 on all the time though, it doesn't take up any ressources.
But with the Net_graph 1,2 and 3, you can get FPS hits from 5 to 50%!
I've never seen a fps hit with net_graph 1, it always sits and 100.00fps
btw whats the difference between net_graph 1, 2 and 3
