Happens in CS a little... NWN looks good and runs so much better... But NS just looks like crap and the FPS is just ****.. I've tried all those tweaks in the webbed topic, and they don't work.

You are running a hopelessly old set of drivers.

Try one of the 31 series for improved performance. You'll actually get better performance than with the more recent 40+ drivers, as they are optimised for the GF4 range.

To add to Gren's able response, I might suggest running the game with -32bpp removed from the NS shortcut as well, if you have it in there. Doing so will gain you quite a few frames, at a loss of some picture quality.

Ehhhh, and? I believe Grendel was saying he should try reverting to slightly older, but more Gf2-optimized drivers...

41.09's suck anyways, no offense

41.09 was better than 40.xx because 40.xx had bugs that caused many BSOD's!
I use 42.68 now which seems pretty good and gave me a couple more fps under laod but tbh I have got to say I am shocked at your choice of card. The TNT2u was the top of the range Second Generation card, the Geforce2MX was a gutted GeForce2 chip that barely outperformed the aging TNT2u and the MX400 was a late rebadge to shift some of the leftover parts
I hope it was cheap because you could have had a Geforce4MX for under ?40uk and that would have been a real spead increase...

Anyway you should still get a decent framerate out of this card so go to control panel, display, settings, advanced, GeForce, Performance and ten also check out the opengl settings. Right click on each setting and select 'what's this?' it will tell you how to set it for best performance.

Dunno what your looking at but every nvidia setting on my system has a vey usefull help topic associated with it.
As for the Radion 7000. I've not has a lot of experence but best performance would be had by turning of 32bit colour, Vsync, Antialiasing, Trueform and antistropic filtering.
