Mod Req: Removing Deathmessages

Worth trying out...
First of all, sorry if this has been raised before, as you know the search function is currently a bit messed up and I don't usually spend a great deal of time scanning this part of the NS forums.

Now, to the point: Removing death messages.

Basically, as my subtopic says, I think it would be worth trying out and I assume it's a pretty simple mod to make. Let the kills show in console, let the dead people show as dead on the scoreboard, but remove the top-right death messages. I know I find myself looking at them very often in a fight, to know if I've killed my target or not, and I'd like to see the gameplay without these death messages. I realize the death animations in NS could cause some troubles, especially with the Lerk, but still, I'd like to try it.

Anyone feel the same way? Anyone capable of making this small mod?

ummm... this doesn't have to be a mod. Since it is for your satisfaction, I think there's a cvar that you can change that will fix this. lemme look.

    hud_deathnotice_time

    set this to 0

Isn't that just clientside? What I want to do is see what happens to the NS gameplay without deathmessages, meaning the server should have it (automatically, enforcing .cfgs is rarely a good solution)...

i dont like that kind of force because they go to another server and its not there for them.
could make a client disconnect maybe to smack em before they leave?

Mmm, Biohazard says it all. Modifying people's configs isn't really the smoothest solution

I can mention that we tried this in testing in one build, and it caused a lot of squawking from players. But it's a free country...
