Battletech Won919561, Screens Attached

<div class="IPBDescription">Clan Xcoms ns 1.04 server (195.20.108.99</div> This server didn't seem to have contact details so I'll post the screenies here. the player was consistently abusive to other players, the comm and i particular the Germans on the server. The comm was a bit 'odd' in his tactics but we were winning when Battletech claimed he had had enough and would crash the server, shortly afterwards the server crashed.
I re-entered and asked battletech if he had done that, he said yes and when another player claimed he didn't believe him he did it again just to prove he could. See the screen shots which are displayed in chronological order. I know they are a bit hard to read but they do back up my claim. He will be banned from my server, just in case but I was wondering if the admin of clan xcoms server would have anything to say. Anyone know who it is?

I remember previous complaints about a "Battletech", but with wonid 43129. Sounds like the same guy though:

43129 Battletech - SniperSkunk report of skin exploit, voice abuse, DOS threats

So either he has a few CD keys, or he's keygen'ing.

    This one what?

Judging by the topic description the server IP where this took place is 195.20.108.99. The player's IP isn't listed.

Banning players by IP address isn't the most productive way of going about this unless they have a static IP, in my opinion. I wouldn't go banning entire subnets in an attempt to get this guy, either.

I had the same problem, except he tried to hack RCON. The WON IDs I have for him are 43129 and 919561. From my logs his IP appears to be static and is 66.30.167.161

I contacted his provider, because attempting to access RCON is a way to gain access to your system and that is not just screwing with a game.

    L0114027.log:L 01/14/2003 - 21:53:19: Bad Rcon: "rcon FuckBitchAssNiggerJew " from "66.30.167.161:52205"

    Some more gems from him.

    L0124023.log:L 01/24/2003 - 19:03:08: "BattleTech<749><43129><alien1>" say "Ok, I'm out.. this is absolute bs."
L0205001.log:L 02/05/2003 - 00:35:02: "BattleTech<3842><919561><marine1team>" say_team "They taking out tne node, oh forget it. you guys are useless"

One just to show his IP.

    L0205001.log:L 02/05/2003 - 00:20:40: "BattleTech<3842><919561><>" connected, address "66.30.167.161:27005"

might wana censor that...and take out the IPs too....although i would love to have fun....displaying the IP isn't ethical.

What is un-ethical about it? If anything I think it is a public service, because it allows people to block the IP of somebody that has shown that they not only want to crash servers, but also try and crack into a persons computer.

i withdraw my statement...i see your point.

But alot of ppl has requested the IP for other "devious" acts.

Mess with the bull and you get the horns. People who think they're "anonymous" and "untouchable" on the internet crack me up. You're only untouchable if you're smarter than EVERYONE you tick off. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

43129 sounds very similar to a WONid I was having trouble with....but you can make new WONids on the same serial key with the sierra account program...
