<div class="IPBDescription">it. bad memory allocation. how do i fix?</div> I've successfully played as a client at a server hosting missilecommand version3 but I cannot host it. Anytime I try to start a server with that map it crashes HL to desktop with a memory allocation error as soon as I join a team in the Ready Room. What gives?

I've seen that error before, not related to half life tho... warcraft III beta is where i saw it last.

Look on google, i think there is a reg tweak for it.

pray its not a bad memory module on your mem.

It,s the map. The author made a serious misstake on final3 that fills any server with useless lines of errors that uses up memory.

It's not your map.. It's not your HL... It's something to do with Windows allocation of memory.

<edit> I think it's a bad memory slot on your RAM chip.

Heist Is correct. I will just add the error occures when you use ALOT of your allocated RAM.

Its not the map i can assure you, the map runs perfectly on almost all servers.

This is the logical solution considering nothing else gives me this error and I made it clear it ONLY happens when this map is hosted by me. I can play it fine as a client.

Whomever posted "wow, a flame" - How is what he wrote a flame? If anything it might be right answer.

edit - hahaha WOW such a weird error - shutting down my HP printer manager allows me to load it. Weird issue with HP printer drivers!

I posted the solution/problem before. It's not the map and it's not a printer error.
You closed your printer and by doing so cleared some memory.

I appreciate your trying to help but actually it is an issue with HP printer software/drivers, as was shown in the place I linked to. I ran a memory tester on my RAM to be sure and it came back 100% fine.
