hi i am new to this modding thing and i found your link while looking for some helps.  i can say this site and content are quite amazing.  as said before im a noob and im just finishing up opposing force(lol) my bro and i want to make a bigger boot camp (lol booty camp ; put gothic models in the game) so this is cool

are there any single player mods to play or only multi?

oh if i came to the wrong room please refer me to right direction

Yeah, there are single-player mods and multi-player mods. I don't have any links on me, but I do recall seeing some around here. Someone else can probably help you get a link, or you could run a search on "mods" or something.

Search for Poke646 on PHL. I believe we had a few people loving that game a while back. There are some SP mods out there, I believe there's a James Bond one. Personally, I like the "extensions" more than the modifications... the ones that cast you as Gordon Freeman or a similar role in further adventures.  I recommend USS_Darkstar, Poke646, and... aw crap, I don't remember what it was called.  The one about the mad scientist at Black Mesa.

Darkstar has some of the most effective headcrab and snark use I've seen - better than HL, IMO.  FAR too often I practically had to change my shorts because of a *headcrab*.

Im not sure where to get these mods though, it was my brother who downloaded them...

Aaah.
I can remember poke, it was a great game, new guns and stuff.
But it did have some glitches ( I mean holes in the story )
but this glitch is on most mods, you see a zombie get teleported from xen.
on other mods you could think: he might have been teleported back and forth, but thats the thing, you can't on poke, lol.
besides poke was lagging my ### off, but it was really really great!
