CAD
Alright, I whipped up an elevation for an office building with the idea of meeting LEED standards set by the USGBC. And what that means, is that im probably going to have lots of natural lighting, so there is quite a bit of windows. This is a preliminary alpha drawing that I made in about 2 hours, the basics of the building are there, but I haven't included too much detail, hopefully if it goes over well with some other people i will add more. I'm 16 so my experience is pretty low but here you go.
Let me know what you think of it.

Not a bad job. Getting that much done in only 2 hours is quite respectable for someone just starting.

But why are you working with CAD? Sure, it's all nice and useful in the business world, but we want you in the Mapping forum learning how to use Worldcraft 3.3 or something similar to whip us up some sort of amazing map for NS

At the very least, try out mapping for the HL engine once you feel comfortable thinking in 3d like that. Who knows, you may like it quite a bit...

I'm working on a series of plans for a boys and girls club with a group of people. I've already designed the floorplan for the 1st and 2nd story and am currently working on the restrooms and all the handicap accessability and the Gym. The person working on the elevations has some pretty terrible designs so far, hence me designing a preliminary design. Also, I'm using CAD because I'm in my normal and a specialty high school so to say, and thats the programs were using and will continue to use in any architecture firms.

Designing for the LEED system is gonna get tricky though =D. It's a series of environmental standards, including energy and air quality and such. It's pretty interesting, just took a trip to an energy resource for a sort of tour/lecture.

Keep in mind that is the alpha version, There's probably gonna be alot more detail if I can push it through.

BTW sorry for the bad hatchings, i needed to put some kind of texture in there.
