Be sure to mention the population sample you've selected in your report. It's a biased group but as long as you mention it in your report, the results can be properly distinguished. And I'm 18+ btw.

1. N. Strictly speaking, video games DO affect people's behavior - playing video games itself is a behavior. But I'm going to ignore the worded question and answer the intended(I think) question, which is: do video games necessarily encourage VIOLENT behavior? And the answer to that is a resounding No.
2. N. It's unconstitutional. Plain and simple.
3. N. Video games can be psychologically addictive, like many things (I find books to be more addictive than anything else), but I've been hooked on non-violent games with an equal amount of fervor, so I don't think it's the violence.
4. N. On the whole, definitely not, if by "the meda" you mean the mainstream media. Independent media tends to be better.
5. Y. I'd say violence makes up a larger part of the video game market than it does the movie market. For now, at least.

What's actually very interesting is that the media tried to draw a link between violent games and the <b>D.C. sniper.</b> I thought that was ridiculous. What I thought was even more ridiculous was when they had some pompous "expert" declare DOOM a "sniper game." Yes, he said "sniper game."

But anyway, I also remember they were saying "Would it be easy for an inexperienced non-marksman to commit these acts?" And they had one of their reporters go to a shooting range with an AR15 with a bipod and laser scope and everything and shoot at a target 20m away. When they showed the green reporter scoring a neckshot on the target, they played a stint of ominous chords. I thought that was beyond stupid.
And so I lost my already-wavering respect for FOX News.

Actually, it's important to define the population sample in your survey (as I stated earlier). Your teacher, assuming she/he has any working knowledge of statistics, should expect you to detail the characteristics of the sample.
