Sensitivity allows more accurate aim, but you sacrifice being able to do 1080 degree turns. I have a sensitivty of 4, and have no problem circle strafing...

My mouse pad is my desk.. so its pretty big.

Yeah, the netcode is definitly much tighter. The lag compensation you speak of, yep.

Whoever asked, I forget, well, I'm 17. Junior in high school, in California.

-noforcemaccel cancels mouse acceleration. However, most people know you can't completely turn off accel without a registry fix. Going to that extreme is really a matter of extreme preference, and it's extremely hard to fix the reg when you have it done, so I don't suggets anyone do it. 99% of the players have accel on to a degree (even me, I prefer it, I have tried the registry fix).

I'm using the reg fix, i just couldn't play properly with maccel after having it off in every other FPS i've played. You can make backups of the registry keys that the fix changes before you apply it, and save another .reg file with your old settings in. Its then easy to switch backwards and forwards between the settings, although i am quite happy sticking with it off. I have my XP backup for anyone who wants a regfix-fix :)

-noforcemparms tells HL to use it's own sensitivity ratio, and not base it on windows. Thus everyone with -noforcemparms can compare sensitivities and not be worried that they're win sensitivity is jacking with the numbers.

Although you dodge the windows mouse settings, its still not a great way of making a comparison. PS/2 rate, type of mouse, level of maccel can all change how the sens relates to your mouse movement.

There are a couple of leagues or ladders being run in Europe for NS matches, i'm not sure about the situation over there in America. I don't think there are any European events that are particularly large or wholly inclusive. Clanbase runs a ladder, but in typical clanbase style its a bit of a joke, and we don't seriously compete in it.

Use whatever sensitivity you like or just test what goes and what does not.
Using so much Sens that when you move the mouse the minimum for detecting, and the pointer goes 4-5 pixels, then something is WRONG, really...

I play with medium sensitivity I think. Moving my mouse the 10 inches my pad is long means 4 rotations. I had to lower Sensitivity to play NS.
