New Lerk Changes?

I super uber duper good with lerks but what they need to add is a command to bomber dive or drop fast rather than float. It would make circling rines while biting easier. And the best thing than can fix is allow the lerk to shoot straight down or while flying backwards. my spikes go no where when i do that.

That lerk carrying thing exists as a mod. They should should permanatly incorperate it in game.

o and someone mentioned taking down stuff while hanging from ceilings as a lerk would be neat. you can already do that with skulks However be aware parasiteing buildings to death can take a while.

Im sorry , but I must say that one of the best tactics ever would be, to fly towards an unsuspecting marine, then get down to his body level and chomp on mid-air. I did this once: I was Computer Core hive, sitting on the hive, when there came enemies to the "tunnel-like" door to the hive. So, I jumped off, glide to their level and flew to them, and then bit. I killed 2 guys in a row like this, and flew away to heal from the 3rd marine. For more manouvers like this, I say a DIVE ability with lerk would be awesome, just by itself, but think about it when combined with ceiling hanging <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
Dive could be like: when you fly, then press CTRL (or any crouch button) the lerk should put the wings like the birds do when they're diving, like this (a lerk going down): V instead of the regular flapflap: -+-

Got my idea? How do you like that?

I think the turning problem is to do witht he lerk speed, perhaps if you didnt go soooo fast that you may die when you hit a wall, it would be easier.

E.G

A lerk is bad for actual flying and killing, it is easier to sit back and spike while a skulk or two runs in.
If it didnt go as fast, it would be easier to turn around.

Perhaps if each flap gave a burst of speed, but it wasnt cumulative (well, AS cumulative as it is now) it would make turning alot easier.

the "lerk carrying thing" is known as "lerk lift" and the lerk can only lift gorges

i like the idea of holding crouch to drop like a stone on top of a marine head

I agree with lerk lift being built in

one thing i cant stand about lerk is the health. all other evolutions increase your armor AND health. with the lerk you get a major armor boost but you drop 10 hp (from a sulk) and most of the time I get capped with 28 armor left. the extra health would help alot.

the ceiling cling, again, would be and awesome addition.

Just imagine your in silo building your rt then you suddenly hear the detachment of 3 lerk claws......

then again you could do that with sulks.....

IMO it should be made so if u hold use, then you turn left/right with your mouse and not the left and right keys. this would meen u would be able to spiral by twisting your mouse in a circle or turn corners buy turning your mouse at a right angle
