Layout For My Map.

<div class="IPBDescription">i need a name.</div> here look at the picture (i donno how to do pictures so im going to attach it and hope it works.) i havent thought about vents yet, but im gonna work on placing them later. tell me if you think this layout is good for a begining mapper.

    the scripting is bugged for me too, oyu can do it manually though:

    umm well. this is the main concept of my map. right now theres no vents. in the next pic theres a vent dieal layout, but i havent thought of it. tell me what you think. and if it sucks say it sucks.

    can't tell much from this but it almost looks as if you can siege all 3 hives from one room. thas a big mapping no no. take ns_hera for example ....

    -fool- seems hardly trying to make his nick to a concept of appearance in this forum.
    theres not much against small maps but there are some basics for regular NS maps.
    HIVE to (every) HIVE and CC to (every) Hive distance should be a 25-30 seconds walk for marines.
    There should be no place to siege 2 hives from.
    If not, marines will always rush the hive they can reach earlier.
    ...

    How else could you call this map now then:

    well, you cant seiege any of the hives from the double res room. they are set too far away. but you can siege the gray and the green at the same time, so im going to fix that. if that is fixed would it be better? the walking distance is 30 seconds to each hive, and it is not possible to siege evey hive, only 2 for now, which will be fixed. i also have to put atleast one more resource tower farther away from the marine base.

    The plan is far too basic to judge just at the moment - you'll need to do a lot more work, some degree of scale might be an idea as either a) you can siege half the map from spawn or b) those corridors are freaking wide ? As it stands it looks like a few boxes thrown together in paint rather than a map.

    If you can't come up with a better map diagram than that I sincerely doubt that you'll be able to build the map with the quality players expect. Surprise me.

    Between your bottom two hives, you have corridors where one crosses over the top of another it looks like. Either make it one big room, or rework the paths because that's about as bad as unbalanced hive location. It'll keep the commander from building or dropping health/ammo in the lower one.
