Your Thoughts On Pirated Software

I have many computer programs in my posession that I may or may not have payed for. Some people frown on dealing with pirated software while other live on it. Personally I can't see too much harm in it. Take a program like Adobe Photoshop for instance. The program costs somewhere around $600. Many programmers, marketing managers, researchers, etc put lots of time, money and effort into making this product which justifies it's price. Now lets say I would like to use this product. Do I have $600 to throw around? Definately not. So I might come about a copy that I didn't pay for. It costs the manufacturer nothing in materials for me to copy this program from one computer to mine and they lost no money from me not buying it because if I had to pay for it I would just instead live without it. Now maybe if I ran a graphic design company or sold art generated in this program I would get a legit copy but it's not worth it if I just fart around with it. Feel free to flame away and call me a thief and such, but try to explain yourself. Saying that using pirated software is stealing is like saying that engaging in intercourse before marrige is stealing from married people.

P.S. Do not post your favorite warez sites or explain how to find pirated software as this post will be even more likely deleted. Just discuss your view on pirated software. And please don't 1984 my post. thank you. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
