Is Ns Ready For Hl 1.1.1.1 (the New Patch)

in NS General Discussion
i heard that the new beta of the HL patch has a new GUI.

and it also has a messanger service that comes with it

i was wondering if this new GUI can be used with NS

(in others words, i have no clue what steam/this new HL "make-over" is, all i want to know is if i can install the patch)

    Well, if it won't work with the current version of NS, you can bet it'll work with 1.1. However, it looks like it's the same basic exe, just with a redesigned interface and more features. All the basics probably haven't changed, because that would mean dozens of mods would suddenly not be work and would need patching.

    1.1.1.1 requires a client download, so it will not be available for NS until 1.1. However, Flayra really likes the new front-end (IIRC, but how could you NOT?), so you can bet it will be included.

    Yea, and I also heard that the new patch will have some sort of a buddy system where you can find your friends online without using things like GameSpy or Gametiger or etc.

    hl 1.1.1.1 + Steam 2 = both in beta stage.

    HL 1.1.1.1 will be released too in traditional package (not steamed).
